Students and faculty want a single system	It would be good to know what faculty and students value in the current LMS they are using. This is good information for change management, i.e. to help people look towards potential gains rather than losses in the process (if they know what they value may be carried over into a new LMS).
An LMS generally works for our students but some tools do not work (including chat/ Email), others need to be improved (like help files)
LMS pre-packaged tools (email, discussions, wiki) may not be sufficient to meet needs
Different students and faculty have very different needs
Students and faculty both want intuitive, easy to use interface that is pragmatic and needs focused
We need more information about how faculty & students use the system
We need to provide course evaluations online (student feedback on their learning experience

Technology in courses should be seamless/ invisible to students and faculty
Completing courses is a good time for students to be learning new tool and technologies to support future needs
Students are already familiar with Moodle if they take non-OL courses
Students rely on LMS for their course content. It is their only environment
Current system (OL) has good within course navigation capabilities
